This summary is here to make the page easier to read. It is not the full text. If the two ever seem to differ, the full text below is what counts.
These companies handle data on our behalf. Each one is here because the product needs it to work.

Our home page may show ads from other companies. The ads come from Google AdSense. Each ad is marked "Advertisement".
Google and its partners may use cookies to show you ads. The ads can be based on your past visits to our site or to other sites. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can turn off ads based on your visits in Google's Ads Settings, or turn off many ad companies at once at aboutads.info.
The planner app itself shows no ads. The numbers and plans you put in the app are never shared with any ad company.
We ask before we use any cookie the site does not need to work. You see the choice at the bottom of the page the first time you visit. If you say no, none of the tools below load, and the app works the same.
If you say yes, we load the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel. It tells us which of our ads brought you here, and whether you opened the free demo, started a trial or paid. We may also load Google Analytics, TikTok, LinkedIn and PostHog, to count visits the same way.
When you pay, and only if you said yes, we also send Meta a scrambled copy of your email (a one-way "hash") and the amount, so it can match the payment to an ad. We never send the numbers in your plan.
You can change your mind at any time. Use the "Cookie choices" link at the bottom of our home page.
Data is stored in the United States. When you delete your account, we keep it for no time in the live database: it is erased when you delete it. Copies can remain in our database backups until those backups expire.
You can export everything the product holds about you, and you can delete your account, from inside the product — not by emailing us and waiting. If you are in a jurisdiction with statutory data rights (the UK, the EU, California and others), those rights apply to you and these controls are how you exercise them.
What we actually do is on the security page, stated plainly enough that you can check it.
Material changes are announced by email before they take effect.
